NSN spins off Carrier Ethernet Transport business

In line with its strategic focus on mobile broadband, Nokia Solutions and Networks has spun off its Carrier Ethernet Transport business into a newly founded company, Atrinet.

The transaction included Carrier Ethernet Transport R&D and sales development. The chief executive officer of Atrinet is Efi Levi.

The customer contracts were not included in the transaction. NSN and Atrinet have entered into an R&D service agreement, which will allow NSN to continue serving its Carrier Ethernet Transport customers.
